Why did I start Thatha's Bakery....
So, I'm not really good with words, but I usually express myself through baking and making stuff. Let's start with my grandpa. He was an amazing person who had experienced so much in life. As an aeronautical engineer, a swimmer, and a dedicated follower of Buddhism, he lived a rich life. Since I was born late, I didn't have as much time with him, but the moments we shared were the best. Even when he couldn't physically accompany me places, he always found ways to lift my spirits, especially with my love for singing. When I started baking four years ago, he supported me wholeheartedly, even if my creations weren't perfect. He swam just days before he passed away, displaying his remarkable vitality. He was deeply devoted to Buddhism, translating scriptures and flooding my WhatsApp with messages about it. During the COVID lockdown, I would video call him while baking, and I constantly expressed my desire for a stand mixer. After he passed, we discovered he had saved money for my cousins, my brother, and me. I used my share to buy the stand mixer and began baking in earnest. Before his passing, my business was named Golden Slice, but it didn't hold any personal significance. Afterward, I changed it to The Thatha's Bakery, in honor of him. It's more than just a random name; it's a tribute to him and the memories we shared.
